About us

We use antique French linens, patchwork quilts and embroideries to make our new range of cushions, home accessories and handbags. Only fabric which is no longer useable in its original state is used, therefore preserving those wonderful old fabrics for future generations to enjoy.. We scour antique fairs and brocantes, both here and abroad to find just the right fabric and trims to make these beautiful heirlooms. Each piece is carefully cleaned and then turned into an unique piece with all the character that only true vintage fabrics can give.

Our wooden items are made either from reclaimed wood or wood from renewable sources and the paints we use are all environmentally friendly.

Information on how order and terms of sale.

We want you to find your online shopping experience with us as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.

Ordering from us is safe, quick and easy using our secure server - we accept payment by cheque, postal / money order, Maestro, Solo, Mastercard, Visa, Visa Delta, JCB and now Paypal. You can fax, telephone or post your order but the easiest way is by using our secure shopping cart. When you click the 'add' buttons on this website, the items you want are placed in a virtual shopping cart.

Clicking on the 'view cart' button will display your cart contents. To ammend order quantities, simply go to your cart and edit them there - then click 'recalculate'.

Once you have finished shopping, click 'go to payments'. Here you will be required to enter your address and payment details.

If you are paying by cheque, please print the order page (you will be prompted where it is appropriate to do so) and send it along with your payment to us.

If you wish to pay by credit / debit card but not over the internet then you should print out our order form and post or fax it with all relevant card details. You can of course order using a card by telephoning us.

When we receive your order, we will process it promptly and contact you if there is any problem. Whichever way you pay, we will not debit your account until we have your order ready - even if you have paid over the internet.

Ordering methods and terms and conditions of sale.

Payment method: We accept Visa, Visa-Delta, MasterCard, Maestro, Solo, JCB and Paypal. Your card will not be debited until the order is ready for despatch. You may, if you wish pay by cheque or postal order. These should be made payable to Sacha Smith.

Ordering methods :-
Internet : Internet orders can be made 24 hours a day - seven days a week.

By Phone : Contact us on 01721 724 479 between 9.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday. When you call, you should have your order and your payment details close at hand.

By Post : Send your completed order form with payment to us at: Sacha Smith, PO Box 13803, Peebles, Tweeddale, EH45 8WX. You can pay by debit / credit card, cheque or postal order if you order by post.

By Fax : You can also fax us your order on: 01721 724479 - please provide card details.

Delivery: We try to despatch all orders in 2-3 working days. If you are paying for an item using a cheque, we must wait for the cheque to clear before we can send your goods. If you need a particular item for a certain date, please contact us and let us know. At present, all orders are sent by Royal Mail - either 1st class or standard parcels.

Delivery charges: Delivery charges are by weight - the charges are automatically calculated as you add items to the shopping cart.

International orders: Delivery charges outside UK are charged at cost.

Returns: If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase please let us know within 3 days and return the goods to us, unused, and in the original packaging for replacement or refund. We regret that personalised / made to order items are non-returnable, but if a personalised / made to order item is damaged in transit, we will replace it like for like on return of the original.

Please note: Due to the handmade nature of our giftware, each item is unique and individual. As such, slight variations may occur between items. Fabrics may vary slightly but colours will always be as stated. Stated sizes are approximate.

Please also note: On screen colour may differ between different web browsers or monitors which means that the colours which appear on your screen may vary from the colours of the actual item.

To comply with trading standards regulations regarding e-commerce, it is necessary for us to provide customers with a geographical address. Please note that it is not a retail outlet and we therefore cannot accept visitors. We respectfully ask that all correspondance be sent to our PO Box address to ensure prompt attention. Our geographical address is 3 Dalatho Street, Peebles, EH45 8DX.
